ComputerPals Clients and Volunteers
Computer Training For All Ages And Levels
A non-profit local club supported by volunteers
A brief History
In October 2010 a charity called NVCA were based at Doulton House (at the back of Morrisons) helped elderly people use computers with approximately 4 old desktops and 4 volunteers.
This training was using Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office (Word, excel, and email)
NVCA moved to Doddridge Centre in St James and after 2 years there decided to withdraw from Northampton and concentrated on their head office location in Rushden.
It was at this time that the name Computerpals came about.
2 years later, in 2015, Computerpals moved again, to their present location at Duston Community Centre in Pendle Road.
Computerpals has grown from 3-4 volunteers and 6-9 clients to 12 volunteers and 25+ clients.
Help is now available for ALL methods of IT, from Windows laptops/desktops, Apple Mac, Apple tablets and iPhones, Android phones and, printers, online shopping, online banking.
We have occasional clients who come once a month for help to someone who has been with us since the early days of NVCA.
